Living most of my life in Wisconsin has given me a near-constant desire for good cheese. I grew up in a small town just north of La Crosse, straddling the divide between rural and suburban, and after high school, I was lucky enough to attend UW–Madison. In Madison I found wisdom and knowledge I never expected, friends to last a lifetime, and a community that welcomed me for the next ten years of my life.
After working in Wisconsin's libraryland for several years, I'm now living in Minneapolis with my two cats and working on my MGIS degree. My hope is to work in the public sector and help improve how we communicate spatial information with the public. In short, I want to help people connect more with the world around them.
Fun Facts:
- Among my hobbies—which certainly do not receive equal attention—are woodworking, embroidery, worldbuilding, riding and fixing my bike, backpacking, playing rugby, volunteering in my neighborhood, and eating good food with my friends.
- I spend an inordinate amount of time listening to TTRPG actual play shows and podcasts.
- If you look at my email inbox you will find frankly too many local government newsletters. I simply cannot help myself.
- I love the Great Lakes, but I cannot swim.
- My favorite animal is the Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus).
